Pallab Midya, Ph.D., Electrical Engineering
President

Pallab has over 25 years of experience in the areas of power conversion and integrated system design. Pallab is an accomplished innovator with a proven track record of producing innovative state-of-the-art solutions that solve challenging problems. He has held the position of Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Motorola and subsequently Freescale Semiconductor. He has worked on a wide range of applications including class D audio amplifiers, RF power amplifiers, data converters, DC to DC converters, and alternative energy systems. Pallab has 45 issued US patents, 8 patents pending, and 40 technical publications. Pallab holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, IL.

 

Abhijit Bhattacharyya, Ph.D., Mechanical Engineering

Abhijit (Abi) is a multidisciplinary professional with 15+ years of proven experience in product development, research in engineering and medicine, leadership of projects as principal investigator and recipient of research grants. He has been recognized for excellence in industry and academia and received several awards and honors. Abhijit holds a PhD in mechanical engineering with specialization in fluid mechanics from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and a MD degree from Tufts University School of Medicine.

 

César Pascual, Ph.D., Electrical Engineering

César has over 20 years of experience in the areas of power electronics, system design and embedded design. He has worked for several companies, either as part of their staff or as an external consultant. He has worked on a wide range of applications including industrial power electronics equipment, all-digital audio amplifiers, high-power LED lighting, biomedical instrumentation, and television equipment. He is the inventor in two US patents, has contributed to a third one, and has five technical publications. César holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, IL.

 

Adip Dutta

Fellow

Adip has extensive experience in system design, hardware and software design. He has been a senior scientist for the govt. of India, held system design lead positions at numerous startups in India and silicon valley. His areas of expertise include power electronics, microcontroller and FPGA programming.

 

 

 

Uma Ekambaram Iyer, Ph.D.

Fellow

Uma has over 15 years of experience in the areas of power electronics design, circuit and system simulation and developing software tools for IC design. She has spent several years developing commercial tools in the Electronic Design Automation industry. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

 

 

 

John Ribe

Fellow

Senior Member of Technical Staff at Texas Instruments 1979-2008, Manager, team leader and individual contributor on numerous ASIC designs that have gone to high volume production.  Those ASIC designs have exceeded $1 billion worth of business for TI. At this time he focuses on FPGA programming.
